Example Domain
A calm, dependable placeholder for the modern web — reserved by IANA, specified in RFC 2606, and readable in every language your readers speak.

One domain, every script
Built to be read in every language you write in.
The original placeholder says one sentence. We say it in six scripts — French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, and English — each rendered at full body size, correct direction, and proper CJK and Arabic fallbacks. No tofu boxes. No shrunken grey text.
It is the same sentence, treated with the same care. That is the whole idea.

Proof
Built to be read, tested, and trusted.
Example Domain is not a marketing page pretending to be neutral. It is the neutral page — used by specification writers, QA engineers, and documentation teams because it is stable, legally safe, and behaves identically everywhere it loads.
-
Reserved by IANA
Set aside in RFC 2606 so no real business, brand, or person depends on it.
-
Zero dependencies
No frameworks, no analytics, no third-party requests. It loads before your coffee cools.
-
Accessible by default
WCAG AA contrast on every line, 44 px tap targets, visible focus rings, honest semantics.
-
Correct in six scripts
Arabic right-to-left, Japanese with CJK fallbacks, and translations never smaller than body copy.
The difference
example.org, example.net, the IANA help page, and RFC 2606 all get one thing right: they stay out of the way. This is the first version of that idea designed as a readable, multilingual, accessible editorial artifact — facts you can cite, rendered so a human actually wants to read them.
Good to know
Not a service. No monitoring. No surprises.
Safe for examples, demos, documentation, and testing — in a blog post, a textbook, a unit test, or a client deck. Reserved by IANA, specified in RFC 2606, and free to use without asking anyone for permission.
